These workshops help children learn about nature and traditional crafts. Workshops for recreation centers are available by reservation on Wednesdays and Monday through Friday during Zone A school breaks.

Gardening
Objectives: To learn about gardening techniques and tools.
Activity: In the educational garden, the children learn how to dig, hoe, rake, sow, and plant.
Ages 6 to 12
Art and Nature
Objectives: To reconnect with one’s creative power using materials found in nature.
Activity: Using leaves, grasses, and flowers, the children create an imaginary animal.
Ages 4 to 12
Insect Hotel
Objectives: To raise awareness about biodiversity conservation
Activity: Children learn to identify beneficial insects and build shelters for them, which they will set up at the museum.
Ages 6 to 10
Animals
Objectives: To learn about farm animals and their various needs, and to understand how livestock farming works and the products it yields.
Activity: Reading a Kamishibai story or playing a matching game featuring different farm animals, followed by a leisurely stroll to meet some of the museum’s animals and feed them.
