ACIDE GRENADE and Thé Conteuse (Thérèse Grima)

The ACIDE GRENADE theater company and Thé Conteuse (Thérèse Grima) have joined forces to present a tale from the Morvan region, taking you back to the very beginning of the world to discover an etiological myth about the origin of fire on Earth. Blending a creation myth with poetic storytelling, the story of little Raipotot is especially suited for young listeners. We learn that courage has nothing to do with size, and that collective strength is far more crucial than competition when it comes to bringing light to the world. As the storyteller’s voice guides you into the distance, the past, and the realm of the imagination, the illustrator’s brush traces the contours of a dreamlike landscape set to a dreamy musical atmosphere. Drawing on the rich oral, local, intangible, and poetic heritage, this tale was selected and adapted to create this immersive performance that awakens all the senses.
