"Eye of God" Basket

Basket weaving is an ancient craft—the art of weaving plant materials together to create objects, such as baskets.
Nicolas BERG, the museum’s cultural mediator, invites you to explore this craft by making an “Eye of God” basket—a style that’s accessible even to beginners and sure to delight even the most experienced crafters.
This basket with a rounded bottom will be made from wild plants found in abundance in our region.
You can use it for small errands, for gathering produce, or as a storage container.
All materials needed for the workshop are provided on site.

Please wear appropriate clothing; when working with basketry, you’ll be in direct contact with plants that can sometimes get messy.
Workshop fee: €30 + a reduced €6 admission fee for the museum.
Class size: 3 to 6 participants
Ages 14 and up.
Lunch: Packed lunch or food truck / on-site restaurant (your choice)

For information and reservations, call 03 81 55 20 17 or use thereservation form(please specify the workshop title).
