Food and the act of eating are a true source of inspiration for artists. For it is through the mundane necessity of nourishing ourselves that a culture is revealed. This act—so simple, so obvious—says a great deal about our relationships with others, our way of life, and our personalities. Rodolphe Huguet, Jean-Marc Chapoulie, and Claude Closky have understood this well. Through their works, by playing with food, they invite us to reflect on what we consume—on what becomes a part of ourselves.
