As part of the 2022 Science Festival, the ThéMA Laboratory at the University of Franche-Comté, in partnership with the Musée des Maisons Comtoises, is organizing a participatory science workshop on wind power and the landscape. The workshop will use the Nancray wind power project—currently under development—as a case study.
The science workshop has three objectives:
– to briefly present the research we are conducting at the ThéMA Laboratory, which enables us to estimate the visual impacts of various developments on the landscape;
– to gather residents’ perceptions of the potential visual impact of the Nancray wind farm project;
– to show participants the results from a digital landscape model developed at the laboratory and to gather their feedback.
This is therefore NEITHER a public consultation process, NOR an event organized on behalf of the project’s developers , NOR an event organized on behalf of an opposition group… but rather a scientific forum for discussion on the visual impact of wind energy projects, taking residents’ perspectives into account.
Free and open to everyone ages 10 and up
Workshop duration: 30 min.
A new workshop starts every 10 minutes
