A new artistic project to discover starting April 30
Starting April 30, the museum will host a brand-new art installation curated by Julie Mélin, in partnership with the Juste ici association. This exhibition design creates an original dialogue with the models created by Unibrick, offering visitors a fresh perspective on the space and the works, and promising a visual immersion in which typography and volume interact.
An artist specializing in painted letters in Besançon
Based in Besançon (Doubs), Julie Mélin creates her art under the name La lettre à la main. Her work follows in the tradition of lettering, which she reinterprets with a contemporary approach and without any format constraints.
After more than ten years working as a graphic designer for a company, she decided to devote herself entirely to her passion: painting words, whether tiny or monumental.
Fascinated by signage, she draws inspiration both from the remnants of the golden age of painted signs and from contemporary designs she encounters during her urban explorations.
Artisanal, Custom-Made Expertise
Julie Mélin handcrafts a wide variety of items:

She works both on-site and in her studio in Besançon, using traditional techniques such as hand-painting and gold leaf. She also offers custom-made pieces tailored to the specific needs of each project.
A scenography that engages with the models
For this exhibition at the museum, the artist applies his expertise to a curatorial design conceived as an exchange between text and object. His typographic creations complement and enrich the models designed by Unibrick, playing with scale, perspective, and the interpretation of space.
