One spring day, a friend of Ant's gives him an egg. A round, soft, fragile hen's egg. She tells him to write on it all his dreams and wishes for the coming year, and that by planting it in the ground, the egg will grow and the wishes will come true. Ant is a clown who believes in the magic of little things, and she plants the egg. A few weeks later, Fourmi meets a hen, Ariane, and this is the beginning of a story of love, trust and respect that will change both their lives.
J'ai planté un œuf questions the cycles of life. Who came first, the egg or the hen? But in the end, is there a beginning? And what would be the end? And what if, in the end, there is neither beginning nor end, but a permanent transformation? The fruit falls from the tree, rots in the earth and decomposes. Seeds grow back into a new tree, which in turn bears fruit... Ant weaves his philosophy from simple, everyday elements.
