Le Musée des Maisons comtoises accueille Guillaume Millot, artisan tisserand et artiste textile, pour un stage de découverte et d’initiation au tapissage.

Né à Vesoul en 1981 et installé dans les montagnes du Jura, Guillaume Millot développe depuis plusieurs années un travail singulier autour des fibres textiles naturelles. Fondateur de l’atelier Tissage de Séquanie, il explore et réinvente des gestes ancestraux issus des cinq continents, en mêlant savoir-faire traditionnels, innovation et création contemporaine. Son univers s’inspire profondément de la nature, des paysages et des rencontres, donnant naissance à des pièces textiles uniques, entre élégance, matière et expression artistique.

During this workshop, participants will be introduced to contemporary tapestry on a loom—an opportunity to discover the basics of artistic tapestry and, in particular, to experiment with different textures and color combinations by weaving abstract or figurative designs.

This experience is an invitation to explore a rare craft, to appreciate the richness of traditional textile techniques, and to discover a living art form that is directly connected to the material and the craftsperson’s touch.
