Astronomy Evening and a Night Under the Stars at the Museum

For one evening, come admire the starry sky, free from light pollution, or enjoy a special movie screening in the museum’s park!
Free admission

Astronomy Night from 8 p.m. to midnight

Lecture: “A Tour of the Sky’s Most Beautiful Nebulae,” from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

From diffuse nebulae to planetary nebulae and everything in between, you'll learn all about these clouds of gas and dust, which often take on spectacular shapes.

Stargazing from 9 p.m. to midnight

Accompanied by members of the Franche-Comté Astronomy Association, let them guide you through the summer sky. Perhaps the Lyra Nebula, the Hercules Cluster, or the Dumbbell Nebula (M27) don’t ring a bell? Come take a look through the eyepiece of a telescope to discover these celestial objects.
New this year: an augmented-reality telescope, the Unistellar Evscope2, will let you access deep-sky images directly from your smartphone. All you need to do is download the “Unistellar” app and connect to Wi-Fi that same evening.

In partnership with the Franche-Comté Astronomical Association.

A Night Under the Stars

Why not extend your evening of stargazing by spending the night at the museum? Pitch your tent or simply lay out your sleeping pad on the floor to enjoy the starry sky even longer (free, registration required).

Breakfast is available for an additional €7.
