The museum presents an exhibition chronicling the project to build animal shelters, carried out in partnership with the National School of Architecture of Lyon and the Lycée du Bois de Mouchard, with support from the DRAC Bourgogne-Franche-Comté and the Regional Council of the Order of Architects. This exhibition will be located in the park, near the first of the four shelters to be built as part of this project.
Alongside the exhibition, architecture-related activities and guided tours will be offered. The theme of the 2022 edition, “Architectures to Live In,” is fully in line with the museum’s spirit and the way vernacular architecture is presented there. All the farmhouses reconstructed at the Museum bear witness to the common sense employed by their builders: from the orientation of the house to the layout of the various spaces, right down to living alongside farm animals—everything was designed with economy and the inhabitants’ comfort in mind.
Finally, on Sunday, October 16, the Museum will welcome Nicolas Descourvières for an introductory session on stone carving.
