European Heritage Days

To mark the 41st edition of European Heritage Days, the Musée des Maisons Comtoises invites you to a weekend dedicated to traditional crafts. On Saturday, come visit the restoration site for the roof of the Lizine communal oven and watch the stone masons from the Hory-Marçais company at work. You’ll also have the chance to meet the museum’s conservation team and get an up-close look at their daily work with the collections. Throughout the weekend, come meet an artisan baker and take home a sourdough loaf baked in one of the museum’s ovens (bread sold on-site). As you wander through the grounds, you’re sure to come across the peddler and his cart filled with objects as surprising as they are unusual. Or perhaps you’d prefer to take on a challenge by searching for lost objects? Quick tours of the collection houses will also be offered throughout both days.
